WHAT!!

On Saturday, Jared and I had just put Camden in his crib for a morning nap. We could hear him on the monitor kinda playing around, which he always does before he falls asleep. All of a sudden we hear this weird commotion and then Cam burst into tears. I knew EXACTLY what had happened. I had this awful gut feeling about what had happened. I ran upstairs faster than I thought I could and opened his door and he was lying on the FLOOR under the computer desk! He had FALLEN OUT!! WHAT?? I picked him up and immediately did the whole body check to make sure he wasn't bleeding anywhere or had any broken bones. He was just fine. Just a little scratch on his leg. I burst into tears. My adrenaline had run out and I felt completely limp. I can not believe that happened! I am SO GREAT FULL that he was not hurt in any way. He was probably mostly scared. As was I. I KNOW for a fact that I am not the only one that this has happened to. At least I hope I'm not. PLEASE help me feel better and tell me I'm not just a bad mom.

Oh goodness! You are not a bad mom! You just have a bad son.. jk! It happens and look at the bright side, he didnt lose consciousness! :)
You are a good mom! Don't ever think that you're not!

No, no, that happens to everyone (unless their child is not curious at all.) Are you sure he didn't climb out? You can lower the crib mattress or you can buy a crib tent. Rachel was crawling out of the crib by 15 months so it's not just you. :)

You are not a bad mom! Millie is just not as coordinated as Cam so we haven't been there yet :) Parker however was a fast learner and after a few times of falling on his head he stopped trying for a while. Now he just climbs out carefully and knocks on the door to come out!

You are not a bad mom at all! That stuff happens. You take every precaution you can but kids will be kids and once they have their mind set they will do whatever they want. If it helps my brother's friend had a 2 year old and a 2 week old and the two week old Sadie was crying and the two year old climbed into the crib and dropped Sadie on the floor from the crib climbed back out of the crib and was holding the baby when the mom walked in to see him holding his sister on the ground and all he had to say was "Sadie cryin"... They are luckily all okay and doing well:)

Oh Mandy! you are not a bad mommy I think I have you beat when Ty was about 10 or 11 months he was crying and we were trying to get him to sleep for a long time. his room was on the opposite side of the apartment so we let him cry then I started feeling guilty and went to check on him and he had fallen out of the crib I didn't know how long he had been out of his crib or anything. we lowered the crib that night, but I felt sooo bad. Unfortunately we can't watch them 24-7 they are going to fall but thank goodness that kids are so resilient that most the time they are just scared and not hurt.

I think the whole purpose of being a mom is to be ridden with guilt constantly. Don't feel bad! Just join the club.

That has happened to both of my kids. It really is scary. It's a good thing kids come so tough! You are not a bad mom, that happens to a lot of people.

You are NOT a bad mom! He is just an adventurous little bugger! My younger girl learned how to CATAPULT out of her playpen! They do not like to be penned up once they can climb and move!

So weird question for ya. On your Facebook one of your friends is Crystal Childs. That is your sister right?? I can not remember for the life of me your sisters name just younger than you. A bunch of my friends have her as one of their friends and I am just trying to put two and two together. She is so pretty!!
